Internal Market Centre

12.08.2011

The Internal Market Centre is responsible for the implementation and application of rules concerning EU’s Single Market.

A range of functions related to the Single Market are collected in the Internal Market Centre. First of all, the Internal Market Centre helps citizens and businesses in the Single Market through the European SOLVIT network. This service is free of charge. Furthermore, the Internal Market Centre coordinates the implementation of the Services Directive in Denmark. The Centre has also been in charge of the negotiations for the ‘goods package’ concerning new rules for trade with goods in the Single Market.

In addition, Danish authorities are obliged to send notifications of technical rules in accordance with Directive 98/34 and the Services Directive via the Internal Market Centre. The Centre is also working with standardization of technical rules and SME policy (small and medium-sized enterprises) in the EU.
