Case processing time
The Danish Enterprise and Construction Authority has drawn up simplified procedures for case consideration, which means speedier decisions. The aim is that even in very complicated matters, decisions will be taken within a few weeks. If that is not possible, the exporter will within 14 days receive an explanation why it has not been possible to make a decision within this deadline.
The Authority is able to process the applications more swiftly if the application form is completed with the necessary documentation material enclosed. In uncomplicated matters, the export authorisation will normally be ready in the course of one week.
Consulting other authorities or countries in complicated matters
In complicated matters, i.e. especially catch-all cases and in connection with exports intended for a number of critical countries, the Danish Enterprise and Construction Authority will consult the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Defence, the Danish Security Intelligence Service as well as authorities in other countries. Nevertheless, the Authority strives to make a decision no later than a few weeks after having received a complete application.
The Authority's decisions may be appealed
Decisions taken by the Danish Enterprise and Construction Authority may be appealed to the Ministry of Economic and Business Affairs.
