The Danish Growth Council
The Danish Growth Council has set up the Danish Council for Trade and Industry. The purpose of the Council is to advise the Government on the future planning and development of business policies. The Council will focus on strategically important themes with implications for future business policy debates and prioritisations.
Through its efforts, the Council is to contribute to:
- improving and developing the framework conditions for Danish industry in order to facilitate growth, international cooperation and trade
- facilitating the adjustment of the business structure to modern competition, environmental matters and the development of society in general and
- promoting regional business development.
The Council may, in this connection, recommend the launch of analyses, initiatives etc to the Minister for Economic and Business Affairs. The Council may also of its own accord carry out analyses of potential action areas, initiatives etc. On the basis of the findings, the Council may advise the Government on opportunities of improvement within the framework conditions for Danish industry. Similarly, the Council may submit recommendations to the Government regarding these opportunities.
