In future, regional efforts targeted at growth and business development will be supported by more than DKK 1 billion annually.
Approximately DKK 0.5 billion will derive from the European Regional Development Fund and the European Social Fund. In addition, funding will be provided by regional, local and central government as well as private actors and independent institutions, as EU funding must be co-financed 100 per cent by Danish funds.
The targeting of the structural resources opens up new perspectives for using the resources actively to help to consolidate the globalisation strategy at regional and local levels and to support the regional business development strategies which the regional growth fora draw up.
