Licensing procedures
Prior to application
Exporters may obtain information about critical end-users and denials by contacting the Danish Enterprise and Construction Authority. At the same time, it is possible to get an answer to whether it is necessary to apply for an export authorisation, or whether the exporter himself is to decide whether an authorisation is needed. Only in cases where there exists definite critical information about the end-use of products will the Authority require that exporters apply for an authorisation.
Application
In order to obtain an export authorisation, application must be made to the Danish Enterprise and Construction Authority.
The Authority will subsequently handle the application according to current international and national rules and may consult other authorities. In general, few denials are issued. The Authority strives to provide a reply within some weeks in complicated matters, and within one week in matters that are not complicated.
Moreover, exporters have always the possibility of obtaining advice and guidance if they are in doubt about the procedures.
