National authorisations
Global national export authorisations may be issued in connection with exports of all products that are included in the control list of Annex I and Annex IV to the regulation, except in the following cases:
- Exports of Annex I products for one or more of the seven closely related countries that are subject to the Community general export authorisation.
- Exports of products and technology that are subject to the catch-all provisions. Application must always be made for an individual authorisation.
- Exports to military customers, for space research application or other military use. Application must always be made for an individual authorisation.
The global export authorisation is applied in particular to regular exports to a number of countries in contrast to the individual export authorisation which only covers a non-recurring export order intended for a specific end-user.
Terms for application of global national authorisations
A condition for obtaining the authorisation is that the exporter keeps detailed records concerning all exports conducted under the authorisation. Moreover, a number of further requirements and conditions are linked to the authorisation and they appear from the authorisations themselves.
Various types of global national authorisations
In order to meet the needs of various enterprises as simply as possible, the Danish Enterprise and Construction Authority is able to offer some simplified authorisations in the form of combinations of products and countries.
- Global national export authorisation (less sensitive products), DK001 (a number of Annex I products).
- Global national export authorisation (more sensitive products), DK002 (Annexes II and IV products).
- Global national export authorisation (trade between parent, affiliate and subsidiary companies), DK003.
- Global national export authorisation (all annex I products but only if internal compliance programme has been implemented), DK004.
In addition to these authorisations, the Danish Enterprise and Construction Authority is also able to design other simplified export authorisations if exporters needs cannot be met by the existing simplified authorisations (tailored to individual needs).
