Regional policy
The objective of the regional business policy is to ensure growth in every region. The regional business policy implements the overall national and European strategies, the Danish Government’s globalisation strategy and the European Lisbon strategy.
Regional business development strategies describe regional efforts on the basis of the special regional strengths and challenges, i.a. the regional business structure. Regional developments are set out in the annual regional policy growth report.
Danish growth policy efforts, be they EU financed or central, regional and local government financed, must pull together and support the areas that contribute to improving regional competitiveness and employment.
Danish programmes that are financed under the Structural Funds are, therefore, also targeted at growth, competitiveness and employment in order to achieve strategic coherence.
